How Healing Happens
Since Naomi’s House first opened its doors in 2016, survivors have bravely shared their stories with us—stories of deep trauma and loss, of being let down by friends, family, and even God. Yet alongside those heartaches are stories of redemption and healing. Every story carries both sorrow and hope.
We find hope in the depths of their despair because we believe it’s not where her story will end. It’s exactly where God meets her. He pulls her out of the darkness and gently invites her into His light. What an honor it is to hold that hope for her until she can hold it for herself!
Because each survivor’s journey is unique, the care we offer must be uniquely tailored to her. At Naomi’s House, every woman receives hope and healing through programming designed around her strengths and goals. And while her services are individualized, our approach never changes. This foundation of care allows survivors to feel safe, seen, and deeply valued.
Our philosophy of care ensures that every survivor receives care that is:
Faith-based, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Trauma-informed, integrated with expert therapists and staff
Individualized, believing she is the best advocate for her own care
Strengths-based, empowering her to live in her God-given identity and purpose
Comprehensive, committed to her full mental, emotional, and spiritual healing
This kind of care is often messy, complicated, and tiring. But it is the way of Jesus—the way He cares for us. Walking alongside survivors as the Lord walks alongside us isn’t heroic; it’s faithful. It’s simply right. This is what God calls us to—whether with survivors, in our families, or throughout our communities. We are all called to reflect Christ’s love by treating every person with the dignity and honor she deserves.
Nancy’s story is a beautiful reminder of the transformation that happens when survivors receive care modeled after Jesus Himself. Watch it here.
